Homemade room deodorant spray (harsh chemicals free)

Making your own air freshener spray is easy. Besides being able to customize the smells that you like, you will be using a product free of harmful synthetic chemicals held by commercial air fresheners. Although we are inundated with ads about how good they smell their fresheners, these trademarks do not indicate that they are full of synthetic chemicals that have been associated with increased asthma or endocrine disruption. This spray is very simple and cheap to make, containing safe ingredients that you already have at home.

Ingredients for making the freshener spray:

– a canister (preferably opaque glass) spray
– juice or lemon juice and water in equal parts (200 ml of each)
– baking soda (80 gr)

Instruction:

Simply mix all ingredients in the pot, shake well and spray where you want to get a fresh, natural scent. You can spray in the bathroom, on clothing, curtains (especially if you smoke indoors), sofas, bedding, etc. Remember to shake before use.
